Dear Texas Republican,

In case you haven’t heard the news, let us be the first to tell you. Texas is seeing record-breaking turnout during early voting. Several media outlets are confirming what our GOP volunteers have already told us – voters are coming out in force to make their voices heard in this critical election.

You are making the difference in this election, and with the Texas Trailblazers program, we are continuing to press the battle through Election Day! This past weekend was full of activity across Texas. We have received enthusiastic feedback from campaigns across the state, eager and excited to be in the middle of election season, and energized by the presence of volunteers like you. Here at the Republican Party of Texas, our staff was out there right beside volunteers like you this past weekend. Here in our own home districts all across Central Texas, we are working with you at getting out the vote!

Executive Director Jesse Lewis walked door to door in Hays County to elect Jason Isaac in the battle for HD45. Joining along in the Isaac Campaign volunteer force were Jarod Love, Executive Director of Victory Texas 2010, and Lauren Simcik, from the RPT accounting staff. Outreach Director Justin Hollis traveled down to HD117 in west Bexar County to get out and walk for the John Garza campaign. Field Director Travis Griffin and Organization Director Jenny Sykes spent Saturday helping Paul Workman campaign in HD47 in south Travis County. Our new Communications Director Chris Elam worked his neighborhood as the new GOP precinct chair to help Patrick McGuinness in Travis County’s HD51, and State Chairman Steve Munisteri spent four hours in San Antonio’s CD23, walking on behalf of Francisco “Quico” Canseco. The full RPT staff will be out walking again this upcoming weekend, and hope to see you too!

There is every reason to believe that this weekend will once again break turnout records for early voting, and its important to remember that it is the only weekend dates available to vote in this election. Your help is needed now, more than ever!

Over at HandsOffTexas, Travis Griffin has worked very hard to upload a full statewide calendar of all the opportunities available across Texas this weekend to get involved for Republican candidates. To find the opportunities closest to you, simply input your zip code and click ‘search’ to see the geographic breakdown of what is available in your area. Its that easy!

If you can’t particpate this weekend, we still have one more weekend before Election Day on October 30-31, but opportunities still exist every day between now and November 2nd. Now is the time for action!
