Dallas County Spending Millions of Taxpayer Dollars Carelessly
RPT Exposes Abuse of Hard Working Taxpayer Money

DALLAS, TX – Cities, counties, and ISDs throughout Texas have gone unwatched in their frivolous spending of taxpayer dollars. Republican Party of Texas is taking a closer look at where hard working taxpayer dollars are being spent. In Dallas County millions in taxpayer dollars were wasted on a multitude of failed programs or failed efforts. Republican Party of Texas Chairman James Dickey commented:

“In yet another example of gross abuse of tax dollars, we look toward Dallas County. The city of Dallas spent $1 million on a parking lot that still remains vacant near the Love Field Airport, another $31 million on a failed Dallas ISD exclusionary discipline program, $30 million on a botched court software program, $2 million to remove a failed $4 million project on the Trinity River, and much more. They have chosen to use taxpayer dollars impetuously, then seek to continue to tax citizens and continue to fund these types of botched endeavors. It is unthinkable that anyone could so recklessly waste tax dollars without any sort of repercussions. It is time for these taxing entities to answer for their shameless abuse of the taxpayer’s trust.”
