"You fought for your country and for its safety and for the freedom of others with strength and courage. We love you for it. We honor you. And we have faith that, as He does all His sacred children, the Lord will bless you and keep you, the Lord will make His face to shine upon you and give you peace, now and forever more. Thank you all, and God bless you." – Ronald Reagan

On this Veteran's Day, the Republican Party of Texas thanks all of our military veterans and active duty personnel who have served our Country and our State. Our veterans deserve our thanks EVERY day, but on this special day – we stop and issue our most humble and profound gratitude for their sacrifice and service.

RPT Chairman Steve Munisteri issued the following statement: "On behalf of the Republican Party of Texas, I want to express our deepest appreciation and thanks to our servicemen and veterans on this special day. Your sacrifice and your actions in defense of our liberties are appreciated more than we can adequately state. Freedom is never free – it is paid for in the hard work and service of men and women like you who stepped forward to answer your nation's call. Thank you for your service, and God bless each of you and your families on this Veteran's Day."

Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus and RNC Co-Chairman Sharon Day released the following statement and video commemorating Veterans Day:

“Whether on the beaches of Normandy or in the streets of Kabul, the bravery of our veterans has ensured the blessings of liberty to our children and grandchildren. We must never forget that.”

“Today, let us renew our country’s commitment to our veterans – to those who returned home long ago and those who have yet to return,” said RNC Co-Chairman Sharon Day. “May God bless them and protect them this Veterans Day – and every day.”
