The deadline for applying for the RPT Campaign Management School has been extended until the close of business on Monday, October 21. Applications for the school can be downloaded here and all accepted applicants will be notified by 8 PM on the 21st.

During the school, participants will engage in a series of workshops and networking sessions with experienced, successful political professionals. They will be exposed to insider tips for every aspect of a political campaign – getting your campaign started, building an effective staff, communications and new media, fundraising, scheduling, working with your candidate without overworking your candidate, and managing consultants. These are just a few of the topics to be covered in this intense, 3 day boot camp.

Graduates and instructors have managed campaigns and political committees at every level. Some of our instructors have raised record amounts of money for candidates while others have managed “come from behind” victories on a shoestring budget. One thing they all have in common is that they are effective.

Speakers

The school will be held in Austin from October 28-30 at the Embassy Suites Hotel Downtown. In order to ensure meaningful and personal interaction between students and instructors, seating is limited to no more than 25 qualified and serious applicants. The cost of the school is $250.00 and includes materials and scheduled meals. We hope that you will share this information with anyone you know who is interested in an exciting career in campaign management. You can even encourage their participation by providing a recommendation or even sponsoring their participation.

If you have any questions or to submit your application, please contact John McCord atjmccord@texasgop.org.

P.S. We will also be holding a local candidate training and a campaign leadership school before the primary. Stay tuned for details!
