PAC Fails to Report Contributions to Beto for Texas Campaign

AUSTIN, TX – Today, the Republican Party of Texas (RPT) filed a Federal Ethics Commission (FEC) complaint against End Citizens United Political Action Committee (ECU) for failing to report expenditures supporting Congressman Beto O’Rourke’s candidacy for U.S. Senate in Texas. The complaint outlines ECU’s failure to file a direct expenditure for public communications in support of – or as an in-kind contribution to – the Beto for Texas campaign.

“The expenditure ECU failed to report proves that Beto’s claims to receive no PAC support during his Senate run against Senator Ted Cruz are false. Whether ECU willfully chose not to report this expense or simply forgot to do so, it contradicts the story Beto has been telling the voters of Texas,” said RPT Chairman James Dickey. “Beto continues to make it clear that he is not fit to represent Texas in the Senate as he gets caught in one lie after another. Texans deserve someone who will stand for their values, not mislead them in order to get into office.”
