The Republican Party of Texas Announces Over $1 Million in Unrestricted Account for the First Time in Five Years and $2 Million across all Accounts is Within Sight

AUSTIN, TX – The Republican Party of Texas has announced that our unrestricted accounts exceeded $1 million cash-on-hand for the first time in five years – and for the ninth straight year we have zero debt. This is a major milestone and has taken tenacity to achieve. This reflects the confidence in the direction of the RPT and its laser-focus on the 2020 election cycle. Republican Party of Texas Chairman James Dickey commented:

“We are very excited about hitting $1 million cash-on-hand. We have been working hard to maintain healthy cash balances to build out our field and messaging operations for the 2020 election cycle. I am thankful to every donor who has invested with the Republican Party of Texas to help us reach this threshold once again.

“We will keep our fundraising running strong to reach our next major milestone of $2 million across all of our accounts which is also close to becoming a reality.

“This solid financial base is vital as we head into a challenging 2020 cycle where Democrat insiders from D.C. are already targeting Republicans. While we are excited about our financial position, we know there is much work to do to defend Texas.

“Though Democrats have backed extremist policies that are against Texas values like taxpayer funded health insurance for illegal immigrants and the costly plan to eliminate all private health insurance options, we still have our work cut out for us. The DCCC has announced they are targeting six races in our state and Texas Democrats are, as usual, taking their marching orders from national Democrats. We will continue to fight to raise money to defend those six seats, take back ground lost in the 2018 cycle, and challenge every incumbent Democrat across the state.
