The Republican Party of Texas would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family of High School Republicans of Texas State Chairman Connor Pfeiffer upon the news of the passing of his mother – Cheryl Pfeiffer.

RPT State Chairman Steve Munisteri said, "Connor is an amazing young man and the force behind creating the High School Republicans of Texas. It is easily apparent to all of us on the State Republican Executive Committee that he is one of the future leaders of the Republican Party. His work and positive spirit have made him a very popular young man among our SREC members and RPT staff, so it broke all of our hearts to learn the devastating news that his mother had passed away. On behalf of the Republican Party of Texas, its staff and the SREC, we want Connor to know that our prayers and thoughts are with him and the entire Pfeiffer family during this difficult time."

Cheryl Ann Pfeiffer died October 17, 2012 of cancer at her home in Terrell Hills surrounded by her family and friends. She was 49 years old.

Cheryl was born June 11, 1963 and raised in Milwaukee, WI, the youngest child and only girl of three siblings. In 1983, she traveled to San Antonio to study interior design at Incarnate Word College. The year 1986 witnessed her graduation followed by her marriage to Craig Pfeiffer in 1987. Together they started their internationally renowned interior design and remodeling company, Interior Ideas. As the creative force in the firm, Cheryl demonstrated an amazing eye for color, which combined with a photographic memory, resulted in a most satisfied and loyal customer base. Her uncanny sense of style resulted in numerous design awards and her work was published on many occasions in the SA Express-News and design journals. Many San Antonians have enjoyed viewing her work over the years in the Parade of Homes.

“Work” was not the only or best word to define Cheryl. Devoted wife. Loving mother. Considerate daughter. Loyal friend. Generous with her time and talent, Cheryl’s uncompromising commitment to any of her children’s activities was well known. In addition to work and family, Cheryl loved to get away. Whether relaxing at her house on Lake LBJ, skiing the Rockies, or traveling to Paris, she could be counted on to organize a family trip as brilliantly as any general ever executed a strategy. Most recently she traveled with her family to Hawaii, the West Coast and Washington DC.

Other interests included shopping whether personally or for the store. She was a whirling dervish moving through markets in Dallas and North Carolina.

Her legacy lives on in the lives of her family, community, and in the hundreds of homes of her customers.

Cheryl is survived by her husband of 25 years Craig Pfeiffer of San Antonio; her children Connor, Cody, and Cameron Pfeiffer of San Antonio and her parents Russell and Yvonne Cook of Milwaukee, WI, brothers Dennis (JoAllen) Cook of Franklin, WI and Brian (LuAnn )Cook of Hartland, WI; nephew Daniel (Dawn) Cook of Germantown, WI and nieces Melissa (Mike) Weber of Sturtevant, WI and Jackie Cook (John) Williams of Whitefish Bay , WI; mother-in-law Mila Pfeiffer Gant of San Antonio, sister-in-laws Ellen Pfeiffer and Beth Pfeiffer Nixon of San Antonio, brother-in-law Leslie (Diane) Pfeiffer of San Antonio, nieces Aubrey Pfeiffer of San Antonio, Lauren Pfeiffer of Dallas, and Courtney Pfeiffer of NY City and nephew Taylor Pfeiffer of Waco. Last but not at all least, Cheryl is survived by her beloved poodle Cuddy Pfeiffer of San Antonio.
