Cleveland, OH- “It’s time for an immediate investigation into Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Julian Castro’s political activity and campaign trips to Iowa and New Hampshire for Hillary Clinton. These disgraceful and negligent actions are a blatant violation of the 1939 Hatch Act and should be swiftly rebuked by President Obama. Violating the Hatch Act should be taken seriously, and Secretary Castro’s actions should prevent him from becoming a Vice Presidential candidate. Following the House Financial Services Committee hearing last week, it would appear that Secretary Castro cares more about being Hillary’s VP pick than following the rule of law.”
