AUSTIN, TX – The Republican Party of Texas continues to grow and gain support from both voters and donors. After a record-breaking turnout in the March Primary, the Party is proud to also announce record-breaking donor support.

Through the 28th of March donations for the month have already exceeded the previous 5-year high of $244,088 set in October of 2014. This, coupled with conservative management of the Party’s resources, have meant a significant increase in the Party’s unrestricted cash on hand.

The surge in fundraising includes the largest single donation to RPT since August of 2013 – one of 43 donations of $5,000 or more received by the Party in the last 10 months – beating the total number received in all of 2016.

These numbers send a strong message and reflect growing momentum for the Republican Party going into the general election.

Chairman James Dickey made the following statement:

“The Republican Party of Texas is fully prepared and equipped to fight for all of our Republican nominees – across the entire ballot. We are grateful for this surge in support from voters and donors who are helping us fulfill our mission. We look forward to hosting a great convention in San Antonio in June and to working with our impressive group of nominees and incredible volunteers and staff to ensure victory in November.”
