Sam Pohl,

Sanders is Selling Socialism With A Side of Hypocrisy

AUSTIN, TX – Today, self-avowed Socialist Bernie Sanders will be bringing his presidential campaign to Houston for a rally, then on to Fort Worth for a rally on Thursday. Sanders will no doubt be bringing his message of Socialism and the value of all being equally funded by the government with him. He will likely rail against millionaires, which he now is, for not paying their fair share in taxes to equally distribute their wealth. Republican Party of Texas Chairman James Dickey commented:

“While Sanders has steadily climbed the financial ladder to become what he most despises – part of the one percent – he has donated little to help others. In 2016, when Sanders earned over $1.1 million, yet donated less than 1%.

“Sanders is demanding that the government take more of your money to spend however he decides but is unwilling to do the same with his own wealth. This is a clear example of the deceptive narrative he continues to push.

“When it comes to his presidential campaign, Socialist Sanders refuses to practice what he preaches by keeping the millions of dollars he has gained to himself. If he truly believed his message, he would be sure everyone in the race for President, regardless of party, had an equal financial backing. We call on him to equally distribute the money raised to all Presidential candidates to ensure everyone is equal going into a heated 2020 election.

“We’re confident Sanders will continue to keep the money he has gained by selling Socialism and refuse to do what he expects all of America to do. While Democrats like Sanders will continue to push deceptive narratives, Republicans will continue to keep their word and lead Texas and our nation to success and opportunity for all.”
