Senior Texas Senator John Cornyn Headlines Fundraiser for the Republican Party of Texas in Washington D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – This evening, Texas’ senior U.S. Senator John Cornyn, former Majority Whip of the U.S. Senate, headlines a fundraiser for the Republican Party of Texas (RPT) to support RPT’s efforts to prepare for the 2020 elections.  Senator Cornyn will be joined by Senator Ted Cruz and Republican Congress Members of the Texas delegation.  

“We thank Senator Cornyn for taking the time to keynote this fundraising reception for RPT tonight.  We are grateful to Senator Cruz and our Republican Congress members in joining him to support RPT and help us prepare for the 2020 elections,” said RPT Chairman James Dickey. “To have our elected officials coalesce in this way at this moment in support of the RPT underscores the urgency we all feel in Texas to come together and dig in for an election fight next year that we haven’t seen in decades in Texas. There are real threats to our majorities in Texas because of the 2018 election.  We are all in sync when it comes to the commitment we have to not just retaining, but growing our majorities in Texas in 2020.”
