Texans Deserve to Know Before Election Day

AUSTIN, TX – The caravan of thousands traveling to the U.S.-Mexico border has become an issue in the race for Senate between Senator Ted Cruz and Congressman Beto O’Rourke. Thus far, only Senator Ted Cruz has offered his stance on the issue. Republican Party of Texas Chairman James Dickey commented:

“Congressman O’Rourke’s reticence to tell Texans where he stands on the caravan seeking to cross our border illegally makes clear that he knows his beliefs do not align with the majority of Texans who want a secure border. We are nation of laws and we fully expect our U.S. Senator to support those laws, not ignore them when convenient. I join Senator Ted Cruz in calling on Congressman O’Rourke to give an to answer the question – will he uphold our laws, or will he invite illegal border crossings? Texans deserve to know.”
