Abraham George
Abraham George is known for his tireless dedication and unwavering commitment to the Republican cause. His notable leadership roles within the GOP include serving as the former County Chairman of Collin County and as a former SREC Member of the State Party. Yet, few are aware of the remarkable journey that shaped him into the steadfast advocate he is today. Born in Kerala, India, Abraham was raised in a Christian household by Pentecostal preacher parents who instilled in him a deep sense of purpose and a strong belief in hard work. At the age of two, his family began a 14-year quest for visas to the United States, motivated by the desire to provide their children with the freedoms and opportunities that America offered.
In 1996, at 16, Abraham and his family arrived in Carrollton, Texas, where he faced the challenges of adapting to a new culture and language. Unwavering in his determination, he quickly found work to support his family, starting as a janitor’s assistant. His journey exemplifies the American dream, as he pursued higher education and climbed the ranks in the IT industry with relentless determination. Abraham’s political engagement began in earnest during the 2008 presidential election, where, despite expectations within the minority community to support Barack Obama and the Democratic Party, he chose to align with the Republican Party, driven by a disagreement with Obama’s policies.
Abraham honed his political skills by engaging in grassroots activities, such as block-walking and generating support for Republicans in DFW. After moving to Collin County, he continued his involvement with the local GOP, serving in various capacities, including on the board of the Collin County Conservative Republicans and as committee chair for conventions. His dedication and hard work earned him the vice chair position of the Collin County Republican Party and later, a spot on the State Republican Executive Committee representing Senate District 8.
Beyond his political endeavors, Abraham’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish multiple successful businesses, all while embracing his responsibilities as a citizen and family man. As a husband and father, he understands the importance of securing a future built on conservative principles and economic prosperity. His decision to run for the Chairmanship of the Republican Party of Texas reflects his deep commitment to preserving America’s core values. Abraham’s unique perspective as an immigrant fuels his dedication to ensuring the GOP remains true to its principles and fights against compromise. His story is a testament to the American dream, characterized by hard work, sacrifice, and gratitude, as he champions the interests of Texas and upholds the legacy of freedom and opportunity for all.
