Austin, TX, Release: Janurary 14, 2024 — For Immediate Release

The Chairman, staff, and volunteers at the Republican Party of Texas are deeply saddened to learn of Jill Glover’s passing after a battle with cancer. Jill was the State Republican Executive Committee Woman for District 12 and was first elected to the SREC in 2019. She was appointed chair of the Legislative Priorities Committee in 2020.

Jill spent tireless hours walking the halls of the capitol advocating for the Legislative Priorities and crisscrossing the state to train activists on how to be effective.  She now finds rest in the arms of our Savior.

Among Jill’s many political achievements and awards, she was the driving force behind protecting Texas children by banning gender mutilation in Texas. She spent years advocating for the issue and finally saw it pass into law in 2023. Under her leadership, the Legislative Priorities Committee reached new levels of organization and effectiveness, steering policy across multiple sessions in the Texas Capitol.

Jill loved helping others learn to lead and inspired many to step into new roles or become active in the political process for the first time. She happily and willingly drove tens of thousands of miles across Texas to speak with every group that asked her to come. Despite all her political success, nothing was more important to Jill than knowing the Lord. She knew her real home is with Jesus and looked forward to reuniting with all who put their faith in Him. Jill spent her last breaths ensuring the focus was always on Jesus and sharing the gospel. May we honor her legacy by doing the same.
