Republican Party of Texas Chairman James Dickey issued the following statement on Election Day:

“Today I urge all Texans to honor the generations before us who fought for and secured the privilege of choosing the government we want. We can do this by heading to the polls and exercising that privilege. Across the state, we have seven constitutional amendments on the ballot, placed there by the Legislature this past spring. Locally, voters in many cities, counties, and school districts have bond elections, propositions, and local offices on the ballot. We will all be making decisions that directly impact our communities and our state, so I urge voters to be as informed as they possibly can be heading into the voting booth. May we secure the blessings of liberty for ourselves and our posterity––go vote today.”
