The Republican Party of Texas would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family of Brazos County Constable for Precinct 1, Brian Bachmann, upon the news of his passing.

Brian Bachmann, age 41, born on November 29, 1970, passed away Monday August 13, 2012. Bachmann survived by his wife, Donna, and two children. He was a constable for Precinct 1 in Brazos County and was serving an eviction notice near the Texas A&M campus when the tenant shot and killed Bachmann and passer-by in the neighborhood.

Bachmann had served as a law enforcement officer in Brazos County for 19+ years and held positions in the Sheriff’s Office before winning the election as Precinct 1 Constable in 2010 as a Republican. He was a certified Peace Officer since 1992 and held an Advanced Peace Officer Certificate.

We are grateful for the noble service of our law enforcement officials such as Constable Bachmann, and our prayers go out to his wife and two children, his extended family, and to the members of the Brazos Valley law enforcement and the community who knew him as a friend and wonderful public servant.
