The Republican Party of Texas would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family of Michael Edmondson, son of Denton County Republican Party Chairwoman and RNC for Life Director, Dianne Edmondson and her husband Bob. Michael passed this week at his home in Argyle, TX, and has three sons who attend Liberty Christian School in Argyle.

As detailed in an article this week from the Denton Record Chronicle, Michael Edmondson stood tall in the community as a conservative activist, much in the same fashion as his mother, but will be remembered most for being a dedicated and loving father to his three boys.

Said Dianne Edmondson, "All my kids were conservative, but he was the most interested in the nuts and bolts of it,” she said of Michael. “He loved to read; [he] read a lot of history and political information.”

“He raised his boys as a single parent; they were his reason for living. He made sure they got a good Christian education,” Dianne Edmondson said. “He was very, very proud of them, and they were each very close to him.”

Said RPT State Chairman Steve Munisteri, "On behalf of the Republican Party of Texas, we wish to extend our deepest condolences to Michael's sons, to Bob & Dianne Edmondson, and to all the Edmondson family and friends who have been saddened by his sudden loss. He will be very missed."

Family visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday night, Sept. 16 at DeBerry Funeral Home, 2025 West University Drive in Denton with the memorial service at Liberty Christian School Auditorium, 1301 S US Highway 377, Argyle at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to an educational fund set up to benefit Kendall Edmondson at NorthStar Bank, 400 North Carroll Blvd., Denton, TX 76201.
